What CertifiedInstaller is
CertifiedInstaller is the UK's specialist directory for finding verified, OZEV-approved EV charger installers. Every company listed holds current approval from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles — a requirement to install charge points under the government's Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and claim grants on your behalf.
We cover the full UK: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our directory currently lists over 2,000 OZEV-approved installers, making it the most comprehensive public listing of verified EV charger installation companies in the country.
How we verify installers
Every installer in our directory is cross-referenced against the OZEV registered installer list published by the UK government. We do not accept self-submitted listings without independent verification.
- SourcePrimary data comes directly from the official OZEV approved installer register (gov.uk), refreshed as the register is updated.
- OZEV approvalAll listed companies hold current OZEV approval at the time of import. We flag inactive or lapsed listings when the government register is updated.
- Additional accreditationsNICEIC, NAPIT, TrustMark, and MCS badges are displayed where the installer has provided verification. We do not display accreditation badges we cannot verify.
- AI-enriched profilesWhere an installer has a public website, we use AI to generate a profile description from publicly available information. Template descriptions are used where no website data is available — these pages are marked accordingly.
Data sources
Our installer data comes from the following authoritative sources:
- OZEV registered installer list — Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (gov.uk)
- Companies House — for company registration verification
- Installer websites — for descriptions, specialisms, and brand partnerships
Editorial standards
Our editorial guides are written by a small team with deep knowledge of EV charger installation, UK electrical regulations, and consumer rights. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Guides are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes to grant schemes, regulations, and installer accreditation standards.
Where we reference legislation, government guidance, or technical standards, we link directly to the primary source. We do not rely on third-party summaries for regulatory information.
